Matter Labs has completed a SOC 2 Type I examination for the Prividium® platform covering Security, Availability, Confidentiality, and Privacy, conducted by Thoropass Assurance. Banks and regulated financial entities typically require independent, documented evidence of security controls before onboarding enterprise technology vendors. This examination provides third-party assurance regarding the design of Prividium’s controls as of May 29, 2026.
What a SOC 2 Type I Examination Is
A SOC 2 examination is an independent third-party audit conducted in accordance with standards established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). The Type I examination specifically evaluates whether the controls of a service organization are suitably designed to meet the applicable Trust Services Criteria as of a point in time. The scope of the Prividium® examination covered four Trust Services Criteria: Security, Availability, Confidentiality, and Privacy.
Why It Matters for Enterprise Customers
Prividium enables organizations to deploy, manage, and operate custom zero-knowledge (ZK) blockchain networks and application-specific rollups without maintaining the underlying infrastructure themselves. Its intended customers, including financial institutions, asset managers, and other regulated enterprises, often have formal procurement requirements that include documented third-party evidence of security and operational controls.
SOC 2 is among the most widely recognized standards in enterprise vendor due diligence. Completion of this Type I examination positions the Prividium® platform to participate in vendor reviews at institutions where independent security assurance is a baseline requirement for onboarding. It also establishes the documented control baseline from which a subsequent Type II examination would assess operating effectiveness over time.
Auditor
The examination was conducted by Thoropass Assurance, an AICPA-accredited independent audit firm based in Arlington, Virginia.
